Bruce M. Bettigole Joins Sutherland`s Litigation Practice Group

Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP announces that Bruce M. Bettigole has joined the
firm as a partner in its Litigation Practice Group, based in the Washington,
D.C., office. Mr. Bettigole focuses his practice on securities enforcement and
regulatory matters. He provides counsel across a broad spectrum of securities
enforcement matters, including allegations of accounting fraud, stock
manipulation, insider trading, sales practices and supervision, anti-money
laundering program deficiencies, and other key issues.

Mr. Bettigole represents clients involved in the U.S. Securities and Exchange
Commission (SEC), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the U.S.
Department of Justice (DOJ), and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board
(PCAOB) investigations and litigation, and private securities class actions as
well as in FINRA arbitrations.

Before joining Sutherland, Mr. Bettigole was a partner at Mayer Brown. He served
from 1991 to 2004 with the SEC and NASD (now known as FINRA), and as a Special
Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York, the Southern
District of Florida, the District of New Jersey, and the District of Nevada.
From 2003 to 2004, he was a Chief Counsel for NASD Enforcement, supervising
FINRA investigations and litigation. He also was Chief Counsel of NASD`s
Criminal Prosecution Assistance Group from its inception in 1998 until 2003,
supervising the unit and assisting federal, state and local prosecutors
nationwide in criminal securities-related investigations and prosecutions. From
1991 to 1998, Mr. Bettigole was an Assistant Chief Litigation Counsel with the
SEC.
