High Country Media Launches Fully Integrated Media Company for North American
Skiers, Snowboarders, and Mountain Enthusiasts

BOULDER, Colo., June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- High Country Media announced today
that it has commenced operations, with a full launch of print, digital,
membership, and radio properties scheduled for September, 2009.

Founded by Jamie Pentz, president, High Country Media's major interests
include the relaunch of Mountain Sports + Living magazine; a unique
direct-to-consumer membership club in MtnAccess.com; and a partnership to run
online operations for the website and snow report provider SnoCountry.com.

"High Country Media was started on the belief that we could strip away
overhead and offer the resort and ski industry high-end but affordable,
targeted media products that speak to the type of quality consumers they want
to reach," says Pentz. "The goal is to appeal to the entire demographic
spectrum of mountain enthusiasts, with a special focus on the ones who live in
places like Atlanta, L.A., New York, or the Mountain West."

High Country Media's publishing component is anchored by a redesigned and
reborn magazine in Mountain Sports + Living (to be printed quarterly with a
circulation of 125,000+). "It's an honor to bring a once-cherished title to a
new generation of readers," says editorial director Marc Peruzzi. "This
iteration will feature beautiful photography and the best magazine journalism
our talented cast of contributors can provide. Anybody that lives to play in
the mountains will appreciate Mountain Sports + Living."

Online, High Country Media has signed a long-term agreement with
SnoCountry.com forming a partnership that both promotes the sport of
skiing--SnoCountry is the only ski industry trade group mandated with that
very task--and offers world-class web content. "As an organization it's
SnoCountry's job to provide the most credible daily snow reports to as many
skiers, snowboarders, and weather enthusiasts as possible. And we do an
excellent job of that on the radio and online," says Tom Cottrill, president.
"This partnership furthers our mission, especially online with a combined
creative effort. Doug Sabanosh [Director, Digital Media], the crew at High
Country Media, and the SnoCountry team will produce the most up to date and
relevant commercial site to serve skiers, riders, and mountain enthusiasts."

MtnAccess.com rounds out High Country Media's initial offerings. By closing
the gap between advertisers and consumers this unique membership program
allows direct outreach to Mountain Sports + Living subscribers and club
members. By opening evermore lines of communication to our consumers,
MtnAccess.com delivers terrific value--they get deals--while providing a
powerful tactical tool for marketers.

"Tough market conditions created an opportunity to pull back and reassess the
needs of skiers, mountain enthusiasts, and the advertisers that market to
them," says Pentz. "We have assembled an incredibly talented and passionate
team of professionals that shares the vision of delivering valuable integrated
media assets to both consumers and partners."
