Dr. Littleton Brings More Than 30 Years of Global Water and Wastewater Treatment Experience, Further Strengthening JJG as a Thought Leader for Environmental Water Initiatives NORCROSS, Ga.--(Business Wire)-- Jordan, Jones & Goulding (JJG), an engineering, planning, and consulting services firm, today announced Helen Xiaoxin Littleton, Ph.D. has joined the firm as Wastewater Technology Leader. As a senior technologist and experienced environmental engineer, Dr. Littleton has designed a number of water and wastewater treatment plants, anaerobic/aerobic digesters and pump stations and is considered an industry expert in aerobic and anaerobic biological process design as well as simultaneous nitrification/denitrification (SND). Dr. Littleton brings more than 30 years of experience to JJG and she will help advise and lead the company`s efforts across a variety of wastewater client initiatives. Most recently Dr. Littleton has focused her professional activities on energy conservation, anaerobic digestion improvements, Combined Heat and Power systems, green house gas reduction and sustainable system design. Dr. Littleton comes to JJG with extensive global experience and has been actively involved with sustainable water and wastewater developmental works in China and in the US. She is also an active member of Water Environment Federation (WEF) Municipal Wastewater Treatment Design Committee. Dr. Littleton has participated in a number of World Bank wastewater projects, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) workshops, Water Environment Research Foundation/Environmental Protection Agency (WERF/EPA) energy efficiency workshops, and US Graham Environmental Sustainability Institute research activities. Currently a reviewer for the Journal of Water Environmental Research, Dr. Littleton has delivered multiple papers and presentations around the world, was the WEF Manual of Practice No. 8, Design of Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants update reviewer and section author on SND and Oxidation Ditch, and served as a host and facilitator on an SND workshop for the Water Environment Federation`s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC) in 2008.
