NEW YORK, June 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Statement by Rabbi Yehuda Levin,
"For too many years, most Orthodox Jews in New York State have been uninformed
about the outrageous pro-abortion, pro-homosexual votes of our elected
officials. With the advent of proposed same gender marriage legislation, the
matter is receiving greater publicity, and a sea of change is occurring in
many religious communities including ours."

"This bill will contribute to undermine the concept of holiness that has
reigned throughout our communities and most serenely causes a sharp descend in
the moral fabric of our society. Ultimately, passage of this bill is grandiose
'chutzpah' [the height of audacity] and flies in the face of what our
societies have stood for and fought throughout our history. This immoral
advancement is a danger to all humanity. May the almighty protect us that we
should not face the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah."

In alliance with recent declarations of Rabbinical groups (Rabbinical Alliance
of America, Central Rabbinic Congress of US and Canada) prohibiting voting for
any politicians who advance the "abomination marriage" agenda and obligating
us to actively oppose such office holders, a group of Rabbis will protest and
voice the Jewish opposition to the passage of this legislation outside Senator
Daniel Squadron's office in New York City.

The Rabbis will be appealing to many NYS Senators, to take the godly, just and
moral position in regard to this issue. Amongst the NYS senators that the
Rabbis will be specifically addressing are: Diane J. Savino [23], Carl Kruger
[27], Kevin Parker [21], Thomas Morahan [38], Martin Malave Dilan [17], John
Sampson [19], Malcolm Smith and others.

The Rabbis have established contacts with the leaders of other communities who
are seriously troubled by these issues. They have set an agenda to work with
them block by block in their districts, over the coming months,

The Rabbis stated that if God forbid these issues and similar bills are
passed, we will have to rethink our affiliations and make certain that our
communities are represented by political leaders who will support our
interests.

The protest will take place TODAY:

Date: WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24,
Time: 5:30pm.
Place: outside Senator Daniel Squadron's office in Lower Manhattan
Address: 401 Broadway, New York City
