LONDON--(Business Wire)--
Data Connection (DCL), the world's leading independent provider of network
protocol software, announced that Palo Alto Networks is using Data Connection`s
DC-OSPF and DC-RIP IP routing protocol stacks on their PA Series next-generation
firewall products.

Data Connection`s portable IP routing protocol stacks enable the entire family
of next generation firewalls from Palo Alto Networks to participate in layer 3
routing networks as they enable enterprises to see and control applications,
users, and content.

"We chose Data Connection`s IP routing protocols because they have the routing
feature sets we need, were a great fit with PAN-OS, and supported both single
and multi-core processors across our full next-generation firewall product
line," said Nir Zuk, Founder and CTO at Palo Alto Networks. "Plus, Data
Connection`s reputation for longevity, product investment and great support
ensure the ongoing quality level we require."

"We are very happy to be working with an innovative company like Palo Alto
Networks," said Phil McConnell, General Manager of the Network Protocols
Division. "There is a good match between our organizations and cultures - and we
aim to be a responsive and supportive partner as their network protocol
requirements expand."

Data Connection has developed portable network protocol source code covering a
wide range of technologies for over 25 years. The company's industry leading IP
routing solutions, which include unicast and multicast protocols, are
architected to handle the scale and reliability requirements of the most
demanding applications while providing the extensibility and full feature set to
support IP VPNs, QoS, traffic engineering, MPLS, and optical control plane
function. The robustness of the products plus superb quality and customer
support provide network OEMs with an unrivaled solution that reduces engineering
cost and greatly improves time to market.
