Joe Chinnici Brings Over 30 Years of Financial Experience to Overture`s Board of
Directors

today announced that Joe Chinnici, former Chief Financial Officer at Ciena, has
been appointed to the Board of Directors for the company. Mr. Chinnici has more
than 30 years of global leadership experience in accounting and financial
management for technology companies.

Chinnici most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer for Comverse Technology, Inc. from 2008 to 2009. Prior to Comverse, Joe
was Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Ciena
Corporation from 1995 to 2007, having previously served as Controller after
joining Ciena in 1994. From 1993 through 1994, Joe was as a financial consultant
for Halston Borghese Inc. and from 1977 to 1993, he held a variety of accounting
and finance assignments for Playtex Apparel, Inc., now a division of Sara Lee
Corporation. Joe has broad board level experience, having served on the board of
directors of Sourcefire, Brix Networks, Optium Corporation, Guilford
Pharmaceuticals, TR Systems and OTG Software. He holds a B.S. degree in
accounting from Villanova University and an M.B.A. from Southern Illinois
University.
