Named Finalist in Global ISV Infrastructure Partner of the Year and Notes
Transition Partner of the Year Awards

Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: QSFT) has been selected as the 2009 Microsoft
Partner of the Year in Advanced Infrastructure Solutions, Active Directory. This
award honors partners with proven proficiency in implementing solutions based on
Windows Active Directory Domain Services. It also recognizes partners with
innovative solutions for Active Directory Domain Services in a heterogeneous
environment, or solutions that provide value-added security and compliance
capabilities for Active Directory Domain Services.

In addition, Quest was a finalist for the Notes Transition Partner of the Year
award, which recognizes partners who have attained excellence in helping their
customers migrate from IBM Lotus Notes to a comprehensive solution using
Exchange Server, Office SharePoint Server, or the Microsoft Office system.
