- Global Distributor Signs Lease at Radnor Corporate Center to Integrate Current
Locations -
PHILADELPHIA--(Business Wire)--
VWR International, LLC today announced that the company will be establishing a
new global headquarters at the Radnor Corporate Center, where it has signed a
long-term lease for approximately 150,000 square feet of space. The move will
bring VWR`s headquarters personnel together in a stimulating and high-profile
location, with easy access to Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs.

As previously reported, VWR currently has approximately 375 employees working
out of two headquarter sites in West Chester, Pa. With the leases on those
facilities due to expire in 2010, VWR conducted an exhaustive study of potential
new locations in the surrounding area.

Late in 2008, VWR agreed to work with O`Neill Properties Group to build its
global headquarters at Uptown Worthington, a new development at the former
Worthington Steel plant in Frazer, Chester County, Pa. As is customary, the
agreement between VWR and affiliates of O`Neill Properties Group relating to
Uptown Worthington permitted VWR to terminate its involvement in the project
under certain conditions. Concerns about whether a new building could be
completed prior to its deadline for relocating prompted VWR to exercise this
right and shift its focus to the recently refurbished Radnor Corporate Center.

"Uptown Worthington is a very exciting project and, when completed, will be a
dynamic addition to the region. O`Neill Properties Group is a first-rate
developer and its team strived diligently to make the Worthington site work for
VWR," stated John Ballbach, Chairman and CEO of VWR. "However, given the
inherent uncertainty in any new construction and the limited window for us to
move without business disruption, we felt it necessary to consider other
locations," continued Ballbach.

The relocation to the Radnor Corporate Center ensures that VWR will be able to
bring its employees together in an energizing new headquarters, with minimal
risk of disruption to its business. "The high-profile visibility of the site and
its easy access to Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs nicely complements VWR`s
goal of attracting the highest-caliber talent," added Ballbach.

VWR expects to complete its relocation by the end of 2010.
