RELEVANT FACT

The ENDESA board of directors hereby announces that Carmen Becerril Martínez,
Valentín Montoya Moya, Esteban Morras Andrés and Jorge Vega-Penichet López, have
today resigned as proprietary directors of ENDESA in representation of ACCIONA. 

The following directors have been co-opted to the board to replace them: Fulvio
Conti, Miguel Roca Junyent, Alejandro Echevarría Busquet and Luis de Guindos
Jurado. Mr. Conti will hold the position of external proprietary director,
representing ENEL, while Miguel Roca, Alejandro Echevarría and Luis de Guindos
will be independent external directors. 

The curriculum vitae of Messrs. Conti, Roca Junyent, Echevarría Busquet and
Guindos Jurado are available on the company`s website. 

At the same meeting, director Claudio Machetti was appointed to the Appointments
and Remuneration Committee to replace Valentín Montoya Moya.
