Yuma Exploration and Production Company, Inc. Announces Vermillion Parish,
Louisiana Discovery

HOUSTON, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Yuma Exploration and Production Company, Inc.
announced results from testing the McIlhenny No. 1 ST2 well on their Cote de
Mer Prospect in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana. The Operator, Energy XXI,
drilled the well directionally to the measured depth of 23,300' (23,329' TVD)
and tested one of the pay zones encountered in the Lower Miocene Cris "A"
sands. The first zone tested at a measured depth of 21,500' flowed at a
stabilized rate of 15.8 MMCFD at 14,873 psi on an 11/64 inch choke.
Initially, that zone also produced oil at non-stabilized rates between 800 and
2,000 BOPD. Although other pay zones have been identified, no further testing
was conducted. The well is shut in pending the installation of production
facilities and flow lines. Yuma has a 6.25% W.I. BPO and a 23.44% W.I. APO in
the prospect.
