Swiss stocks - Factors to watch on June 26

ZURICH, June 26 (Reuters) - Swiss equities were expected to open slightly higher on Friday, seen tracking gains on Wall Street and Asia, with all eyes on bank UBS, which said late on Thursday it plans to raise more capital.

The blue chip SMI index .SSMI was seen opening 16 points higher at 5,377 points, according to pre-market data from bank Clariden Leu CLPRE. UBS was seen opening down more than 2 percent CLPRE2.

The following are some of the main factors expected to affect Swiss stocks on Friday.

UBS (UBSN.VX) (UBS.N)

* UBS, one of the world's hardest-hit major banks in the global financial crisis, said late on Thursday said it expects to post a second-quarter net loss and plans to raise about 3.8 billion Swiss francs of equity capital.

* The U.S. Justice Department said on Thursday that a client of UBS AG, Steven Rubinstein, pleaded guilty to filing a false tax return for 2004.

ROCHE (ROG.VX)

Roche filed its MabThera cancer drug for approval in Europe as a first line biologic treatment for rheumatoid arthritis, the Swiss group said on Friday.
