June 27 (Reuters) - Osaka Securities Exchange Co 8697.OJ plans to merge with subsidiary Jasdaq Securities Exchange Inc around April 2010, ahead of the scheduled integration of the Jasdaq and OSE Hercules start-up markets in the autumn of that year, the Nikkei business daily reported.

The newspaper said by combining with Jasdaq before the market integration, the OSE seeks to unify their organizations under a single roof to speed up decision making.

Under the arrangement, the OSE would be the surviving post-merger entity, it added.

The OSE owns 76 percent of Jasdaq's shares, following a tender offer at the end of the last year.

At September's end, the OSE will join its trading system with Jasdaq's and increase its stake in the bourse to 100 percent.

An OSE advisory committee, tasked with hammering out the details of the merger between Jasdaq and Hercules will compile a report as early as the beginning of next week, the newspaper said. (Reporting by Ashutosh Joshi in Bangalore; Editing by Ratul Ray Chaudhuri)
