RF Controls Releases New Smart Antennas

RF Controls, LLC, creators of the standards-based but unique Intelligent
Tracking and Control System (ITCS), which achieves real-time location of items
that have been tagged with inexpensive passive UHF RFID tags, today announced
the augmentation of its product portfolio.

Two new smart antennas, the ITCS-A-102 and ITCS-A-104, complement the field
proven A-100 antenna. All these products comply with stringent RF emissions
standards imposed by various regulatory authorities. The augmented range of
antenna profiles enhances the flexibility of deploying ITCS in different
environments.

ITCS is a standards-based high performance RFID and real-time location system,
which has transformed the market`s expectations of passive UHF RFID systems
through its powerful combination of exceptionally long read range with precise
3D location and real-time tracking. This unique combination of features grants
end-users the ability to identify, locate and track tagged items on a zonal
basis, with completely arbitrary placement of tagged items in the area being
monitored. ITCS eliminates the need for restrictive data capture points such as
portals. Simply tag items of interest with standards compliant (ISO 180006-C /
EPCglobal UHF Gen2) passive UHF RFID tags, deploy ITCS to "light up" the
environment in which those tagged items are present, and you get accurate,
real-time location of all those tagged items. ITCS enables end-users to address
latent business process issues and improve process efficiency in an
unprecedented way.

To implement an instance of ITCS, you will need a Location Processor (an edge
server), plus a number of A-1xx smart antennas to cover the area / volume to be
monitored. ITCS is designed such that smart antennas may be "mixed and matched",
under control of a single Location Processor, to achieve optimal coverage.

The ITCS Location Processor manages distributed ITCS smart antennas, collates
and correlates data captured from tags, their locations, and presents qualified
data and powerful system management functions through a flexible Application
Program Interface (API). The ITCS API is compliant with the ISO/IEC 24730-1
standard for real-time location systems.

RF Controls` range of ITCS-A-1xx smart antennas are compliant with CFR 47 Part
15.247, and ETSI EN 302 208, available now, and sold to end users through RF
Controls` ITCS systems integration partners.
