Synexus Vice President, Chris Hannigan Gives a Key Presentation at London`s 3rd
Annual Clinical Trials Conference, 30th June
MANCHESTER, England--(Business Wire)--
Synexus` Chris Hannigan will present his vision for how the clinical trials
industry must respond to the changing landscape faced by the pharmaceutical
sector and embrace innovative practices to improve the speed of clinical trials,
rein in costs and increase the statistical power of the results particularly in
Phase II.

Amongst the challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry today, improving the
cost-effectiveness and speed of early phase clinical trials sit at the top of
the list. The industry must continue to achieve high rates of growth whilst
fending off the impact of the loss of lucrative patents, coping with the
competition from generics and building on what is considered a thin pipeline.
Traditional phases of drug development need to be streamlined whilst continuing
to meet increasingly stringent regulations across the globe.

Commenting on the importance of innovation and the ability to react quickly to
changes in the industry, Chris said: "Whether Synexus is looking to recruit
patients more quickly at Phase II, using better patient pre-qualification
techniques for example, or whether we are considering ways to minimise data
queries at the end of a study, we must ensure that cutting total delivered cost
whilst improving the quality of the final outcome are paramount enabling the
client to reach the most reliable go/no go decision as quickly as possible. My
presentation for this conference, focuses on the ways Synexus is helping our
pharma clients work smarter and faster.

Hannigan continues: "This conference is the ideal forum to debate ideas with
some of the leading industry figures and to look for ways to work together to
ensure innovation remains at the heart of what the clinical trials sector has to
offer.
