eInstruction 'Mobilizes' Teachers & Students With New Advanced Clicker
Technology and Online Community

- Next-generation technology unveiled at NECC 2009 -

DENTON, Texas, June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- eInstruction(TM), a premier global
provider of learning technology, today announced its next-generation student
response technology -- vClicker Mobile Edition and the CPS Pulse -- two
products that will change the way teachers and students engage in the
classroom. To support educators with the implementation of these and other
21st-century learning tools, eInstruction is also launching eI Community, a
new online community for K-12 and Higher Education educators. eInstruction's
new offerings will be introduced at the National Education Computing
Conference (NECC) in Washington, D.C. this week.

Advanced Clicker Technology
eInstruction's next-generation student response systems, vClicker Mobile
Edition and CPS Pulse, enable true interactive instruction and assessment.
vClicker ME is a virtual response system that runs on Web-enabled mobile
devices students already use, such as personal computers, laptops, iPhones,
and BlackBerrys. Using vClicker ME, a student can participate in a lesson,
take a test, or complete an interactive team challenge from anywhere without
having to invest in a separate clicker device.

"Students now have a way to participate in classroom response sessions without
physically being there or relying on specialty hardware such as response
clickers and receivers," said Steve Kaye, CEO of eInstruction. "As blended
learning environments become more common, technology such as the vClicker
Mobile Edition will enable teachers to view assessment data in real-time from
students regardless of location."

Additional features of vClicker Mobile Edition include:
-- Will support up to 1,200 concurrent users in a response session with
eInstruction's Classroom Performance System (CPS) or Response
        software
-- Educators can deliver real-time assessments in-class or to off-site
        learners
-- Data is retained even with intermittent connectivity or service
        interruption

For handheld student response device users, the new CPS Pulse offers
next-generation enhancements to eInstructions' market-leading Classrooom
Performance System (CPS(TM)). With upgraded software, CPS Pulse features a
more robust and flexible user experience and is compatible with eInstruction's
suite of classroom solutions, including the new vClicker Mobile Edition,
ExamView(R) content and the Interwrite Mobi(TM) wireless handheld tablet .

CPS Pulse enables up to 1,000 students per class to answer multiple choice,
numeric, and short text answer questions while teachers collect responses in
real-time. That student response data, which is viewable on the instructor's
computer or Mobi's KWIK (Know-What-I-Know) screen, helps educators quickly
determine which areas require further instruction and additional student
engagement.

"Numerous research studies show that the kind of formative assessment enabled
by this technology has the greatest impact on student outcomes," said Kaye.
"We believe strongly in the benefits of technology in the classroom and will
continue to make innovative strides like we have with the CPS Pulse and the
vClicker Mobile Edition."

eI Community
eInstruction also is helping educators advance their capabilities by providing
a free and open online site, the eI Community, for sharing best practices and
valuable classroom resources developed for use with eInstruction as well as
other interactive technologies. Content is not limited to proprietary
eInstruction materials only.

eI Community members also will have access to education news, blogs,
discussion boards, white papers, success stories and more. Content is
searchable by subject area and topic, allowing users to easily find relevant
information from more than 125,000 educational resources, including 25,000
copyright-free images.

The majority of the resources available on the eI Community will be free to
members. The online community offers a reward system that enables users to
earn points, based on activity, which can then be redeemed for educational
resources and tools.

About eInstruction(TM)
eInstruction pioneered the first student response system for the education
market during the 1980s. Its Classroom Performance System (CPS) provides
instructors and students with real-time feedback on comprehension during
instruction. Today CPS remains the leading student response system in
education, used by over 1.5 million students in more than 400,000 classrooms
around the world. In 2006, eInstruction acquired FSCreations and integrated
its ExamView(R) Assessment Suite and Learning Series content into CPS so
instructors can seamlessly use its publisher and proprietary question banks in
lesson plans, quizzes, and tests with eInstruction technology. The result is
an integrated system for instruction and assessment with real-time feedback.
In 2008, eInstruction joined forces with Interwrite Learning(R), another
premier global provider of interactive learning solutions to the primary,
secondary, and higher education markets. For media inquiries, please contact
