Sundance Vacations Honored With Pride of Place Award From Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce

WILKES-BARRE, PA, Jun 29 (MARKET WIRE) --
Sundance Vacations was recently honored with the 2009 Pride of Place
Award from the Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce.

The Pride of Place awards recognize local businesses that have created and
changed their facilities and in the process, significantly enhanced the
community. The ceremony was held on June 24th at Genetti's Hotel in
Wilkes-Barre, PA, and was sponsored by Geisinger Health System and
Geisinger Health Plan of the Wyoming Valley. The luncheon honored
Sundance Vacations for the Restoration/Renovation/Remodeling on the
company's corporate office. "It's only fitting that one of the Best
Places to Work in PA should also have one of the best renovations," said
Founder John Dowd.

"Three major companies were key in helping us realize our vision for an
inviting space," explains co-founder Tina Dowd. "Borton Lawson completed
an effective space plan that works for our immediate corporate office
needs yet allows us to grow which is an important part of our five-year
plan. Interior choices were easy because of the long-term relationship we
have with P&H Interiors of Coral Springs, Florida. P&H completed a
re-design of a small boutique hotel in the Poconos for us just last year.
Additionally, they have implemented several designs for our first class
sales showrooms nationally. The space feels warm, fun and comfortable;
all feelings you would expect from a vacation company. It is not by
chance that the yellow-golden tone to the wall coverings is indicative of
a warm sandy beach and the textured blue carpet has waves similar to the
Sundance Vacation logo. The entire design was executed and delivered
professionally by Champion Builders of Pringle. We also owe a debt of
gratitude to the many professional sub-contractors who worked on the
project," compliments Mrs. Dowd.

The Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce also awarded the following businesses
with a Pride of Place award: Shazam Realty (Environmental Enhancement),
Loren Grossman Dental Office (Interior Design), Insalaco Hall at
Misericordia University (New Construction), Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs
and Luzerne County Community College's Public Safety Training Institute
(Community).
