Palisades Federal Credit Union Announces the Winners of the 2009 George Hatala
Scholarship

PEARL RIVER, N.Y., June 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Palisades Federal Credit
Union announced the four winners of the 2009 George Hatala scholarship during
their annual meeting at the Comfort Inn in  Nanuet,  NY.  Three of the winners
received Palisades' George Hatala scholarships in the amount of $750. The
fourth scholar received a $1,000 award from Palisades' George Hatala
scholarship and an additional $1,000 award from the  New York  State Credit 
Union League, Inc.  and Affiliates  which brought the evenings total to $4,250
in scholarships.

Palisades' George Hatala scholarship was created to honor Mr. Hatala's
resilient efforts to improve the quality of life for everyone in Rockland
County, especially the youth. "It's a privilege to be able to invest in our
young members educational goals. We  are  proud of their dedication, 
achievements  and  contributions," said Mark Welshoff, President and CEO of
Palisades Federal Credit Union.

Eligible scholarship applicants are college bound high school seniors who will
be attending college for the first time in the fall of 2009 and are members of
Palisades Federal Credit Union. Students were  selected   because of  their
academic  performance, extracurricular and community  activities as well as an
essay based on the credit union industry's philosophy, "People helping
People".

    Richard Arietta                Tappan Zee High School
    Brandon Einstein               Clarkstown North High School
    Julian Fernandez               Don Bosco Prep School
    Brian McKeegan                 Northern Highlands Regional High School
