A.M. Best Co. has named Jesse A. Hamilton to manage its Washington, D.C., news
bureau. Hamilton was a reporter at the Hartford Courant from 2002-2009, most
recently as its Washington bureau chief. There, he was the paper`s key political
reporter and also wrote a political blog. 

Previously, he covered the defense industry and military, including coordinating
a project to report alongside the Marines in Fallujah, Iraq. Before that, he had
been a reporter with three mid-size dailies, including the Yakima
Herald-Republic in Washington state.
