Landrieu to Chair Hearing on Small Business Trade in New Orleans

Will also host small business outreach conference and attend roundtable on entrepreneurship. *** EVENTS TOMORROW*** Tomorrow, June 30, 2009, United States Senator Mary Landrieu, D-La., will chair a hearing of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship in New Orleans. Karen Mills, Administrator of the Small Business Administration, and United States Trade Representative Ron Kirk will be among the witnesses testifying at the field hearing, entitled "Keeping America Competitive: Federal Programs that Promote Small Business Exporting." The hearing follows Sen. Landrieu's introduction of "The Small Business International Trade Enhancements Act of 2009" earlier this month. Sen. Landrieu and witnesses will hold a press availability before the hearing at 12:45 p.m. CDT. In the morning, Sen. Landrieu and Administrator Mills will attend a small business outreach conference in New Orleans aimed at providing counseling and assistance to area small business owners. Sen. Landrieu and Administrator Mills will then visit a small business before participating in an entrepreneurial roundtable and tour at the Entergy Innovation Center. Sen.
