U.S. Census Bureau and Lockheed Martin Open Data Processing Center in
Baltimore County

CSC-operated facility will offer more than 2,500 local jobs in 2010

ESSEX, Md., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Census Bureau and Lockheed Martin
(NYSE: LMT) today unveiled a new facility in Baltimore County, Md., to support
the data processing efforts required for the 2010 Census.

The 236,500-square-foot facility at 8411 Kelso Drive in Essex, Md., will house
more than 2,500 professionals who will be supporting a broad spectrum of
services related to 2010 Census data processing efforts. The Baltimore Data
Capture Center is an integral element in Lockheed Martin's efforts on the
Decennial Response Integration System (DRIS) program to deliver the people,
process, technology and infrastructure for the 2010 Census.

The facility will be operated by Lockheed Martin's subcontract partner, CSC
(NYSE: CSC), who will also manage the hiring efforts for the 2,500 new
employees. Skills required include computer and warehouse operations,
document sorting and preparation, and managerial and team leadership.

Employees have already begun moving into the facility, and it should be at
full capacity by early 2010, according to company officials.

In a ceremony today at the Center, officials of the U.S. Census Bureau and
Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Services were joined by CSC's
North American Public Sector President James W. Sheaffer and others to
officially open the building by cutting a ribbon draped across the doors. The
ceremony included federal, state, and county officials at the event.

"We express our many thanks to all those who have helped make this partnership
with the Census Bureau a reality. These include the many government agencies
represented here today, the good people of the greater Baltimore area, the
colleges and universities, and our employees who every day prove they can
deliver on our promises better and more successfully," said Ken Asbury,
President of Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Services-Civil.
"We are proud to continue supporting the Census Bureau as it strives to paint
the newest portrait of America."
