New SAE International Symposium to Address Next Generation of Air Traffic
Control

WARRENDALE, Pa., June 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Automatic Dependent
Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) will trigger changes in global air traffic
management on a scale that may surpass even that which was seen during the
introduction of radar, more than 50 years ago. This technology offers improved
situational awareness for both pilots and air traffic controllers and will
improve both capacity and safety of our Air Traffic System.

A new symposium from SAE International will provide up-to-date developments
and engineering information related to ASD-B and its companion technologies.
The "SAE 2009 Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast Symposium" will be
held Sept. 29-30 at the National Transportation Safety Board Training Center
in Ashburn, Va.

In addition to providing the latest updates and innovations, the symposium
will show how users can quickly adapt to and derive significant value from
this new generation of satellite intensive air traffic management systems.
Also, the symposium will provide a forum for keynote speaker Marion Blakey,
President and CEO of the Aerospace Industries Association, to discuss how
ADS-B can serve as an economic engine and help address financial challenges.
