WASHINGTON--(Business Wire)--
The National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Association is thrilled to
announce the selection of Clare Coleman as its new President & CEO. "NFPRHA has
recruited a champion for reproductive health who has the experience and skill to
provide strong leadership for the organization at a time of great opportunity,"
Board Chair Julie Rabinovitz said.

"NFPRHA makes a strong and persuasive case for publicly-funded family planning
and reproductive health services in communities throughout our country - a need
that`s growing because of the tough economy. I am excited to join its team of
family planning administrators, councils, service providers and staff," Coleman
said.

Coleman has been the President & CEO of Planned Parenthood Mid-Hudson Valley, in
New York, since 2006. Currently a NFPRHA member, she will bring her experience
as the administrator of a network of family planning health centers to the
national organization. She also spent more than a dozen years in Washington,
D.C., working with both Democratic and Republican members of Congress, including
Senator Chuck Schumer and Reps. Nita Lowey and George Hochbrueckner. She was a
federal lobbyist for Planned Parenthood Federation of America from 1996-1999.

In 2001, Coleman was presented with NFPRHA`s Outstanding Staff Award for her
advocacy in Congress for reproductive health care. Her work to protect the right
to choose was also featured in the May 2000 issue of JANE magazine, in which she
was profiled as one of three "broads [who are] trying to save your butt."
Coleman will begin as NFPRHA`s new President & CEO on September 8, 2009.

The National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association (NFPRHA),
founded in 1971, is a non-profit membership organization established to ensure
access to voluntary, comprehensive and culturally sensitive family planning and
reproductive health care services and to support reproductive freedom for all.
