Distinguished Semiconductor Researcher Dr. Paul Gray Joins AppliedMicro`s Board of Directors

Accomplished UC Berkeley Professor Brings More Than 40 Years of Research
Experience in Analog Integrated Circuit Design for Telecommunications
Applications

communications solutions, today announced that Dr. Paul R. Gray, a distinguished
semiconductor researcher and educator, has joined the company`s Board of
Directors.

Dr. Gray brings more than 40 years of experience in research integrated circuit
technology and has focused on bipolar and MOS circuit design, telecommunications
circuits and analog-digital interfaces in VLSI systems. He is the Andy Grove
Distinguished Professor, Emeritus, in the Department of Electrical Engineering
and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Gray brings
several career accomplishments with him to the board, and is a member of the
board of the National Academy of Engineering and an IEEE fellow. Dr. Gray has
authored more than 150 journal articles and conference presentations and has
published four books including "Analysis and Design of Analog Integrated
Circuits." He is also the author or co-author of 14 patents in the field. Before
joining UC Berkeley in 1971, Dr. Gray was in the research and development
department at Fairchild Semiconductor. He holds a doctorate in electrical
engineering from the University of Arizona, Tucson.

National Academy of Engineering and is a member of the National Research Council
Governing Board.
