    Dr. George Adams, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sernova Corp. is
pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Philip Toleikis to the
Corporation's Board of Directors. Dr. Toleikis was previously appointed
as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sernova on April 28, 2009. In
making the appointment, Dr. Adams said "Dr. Toleikis is now a key element
in Sernova's future success, and it is important going forward to utilize
his extensive scientific and business knowledge and expertise at the
