BEIJING, June 30 | Tue Jun 30, 2009 2:47am EDT

BEIJING, June 30 (Reuters) - China is hoping to complete its talks with iron ore suppliers before the end of the day and emerge with a price cut of more than 33 percent, a senior industry executive said on Tuesday.

The market is already expecting the talks to be resolved by the June 30 deadline, said Tian Zhiping, the vice-general manager of Hebei Iron and Steel Group, told China's Caihua news service.

The report said Tian had just attended a closed-door meeting of the China Iron and Steel Association when he made the comments.
