Trimble Construction Manager Offers Google Maps and a Rugged New GPS Locator
Unit for Asset Management

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Trimble (Nasdaq: TRMB)
today announced the release of Trimble(R) Construction Manager version 2.4, a
remote construction asset management solution. The new version offers fast and
user-friendly maps provided by Google Maps API Premier(TM) and a rugged new
GPS locator unit designed for the harshest construction site environments.

Using Global Positioning System (GPS) technology, wireless communication and
the Internet, Trimble Construction Manager supplies quantitative information
to analyze and improve asset productivity and overall construction operations,
saving time and eliminating unnecessary project costs. A variety of
easy-to-interpret charts, reports, and dashboard views provides information
needed to analyze and evaluate construction operations and take action in real
time.

Google Maps API Premier Provides Fast, User-Friendly Experience

Through Google Maps API Premier, Trimble Construction Manager now uses Google
Maps street, terrain, hybrid and satellite imagery as background for mapping
sites and tracking construction assets. Users will benefit from the familiar
and intuitive Google Maps interface that they are accustomed to on the Web, as
well as significantly faster map display with pan and zoom controls across
larger areas. Google Maps also provides Trimble Construction Manager users
with detailed street maps for over 65 countries and localization in over 40
different languages.

Faster rendering and more intuitive map controls can save users time and
resources while providing clearer visualization of asset placement, movement,
and status. Additional enhancements to Trimble Construction Manager v2.4
include new asset properties for calculating fuel use, improvements to
data-sharing and custom report capabilities.

New Data Communications Module Expands Construction Deployment Options

With introduction of the Trimble MTS400 Machine Telematics System, Trimble
Construction Manager now supports three GPS data communication modules for
maximum flexibility in tracking and managing a range of heavy equipment,
mobile and portable assets. The MTS400 features a ruggedized metal housing and
mounting bracket for more permanent installation outside the cab on heavy
construction equipment such as earthmoving machines and off-road haul trucks.
The new device joins the CrossCheck(R) Global Locator and Trimble TrimTrac(TM)
Pro Locator as enabling hardware to manage a full range of construction
equipment on a construction site from light duty assets to heavy machines.

Trimble Construction Manager v2.4, including Google Maps API Premier, comes
standard with any of the base Trimble Construction Services plans. The free
software update is available now for download at:
