SHRM and GPTW Host Awards Ceremony in New Orleans

ROSELAND, N.J., June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The Society for Human Resource
Management (SHRM) together with The Great Places to Work Institute, Inc.
(GPTW) has named CPA firm Rothstein Kass (www.rkco.com) one of the "50 Best
Small & Medium Companies to Work for in America" in 2009. The list was
announced on June 29 in New Orleans before thousands of human resource
professionals attending SHRM's 61st Annual Conference & Exposition.

The list, now in its sixth year, ranks the top 25 small and top 25
medium-sized companies using "best practice" people management strategies to
develop successful organizations with highly productive and satisfied
workforces. Organizations range in size from 50 to 999 employees and the GPTW
selects the winners based on a randomly distributed employee opinion survey.
Each company evaluated was given a score based on employees' responses to a
detailed questionnaire about the organizations' workplace cultures.

"Through our first 50 years, Rothstein Kass has maintained a reputation as an
employer of choice, across all markets of operation by promoting a culture of
collaboration that enables the continuous professional development of our
employees, as well as a deep understanding of the business communities we
serve. Our 'one firm, one floor, one culture' approach has allowed us to
consistently attract and retain talented staff and while ensuring seamless
coordination among our diverse but interrelated national business divisions,"
said Steven A. Kass, Co-Managing Principal of Rothstein Kass. "Firm-wide
initiatives focused on encouraging work / life balance have also been
essential to these efforts, supporting organizational stability and continuity
across service offerings."

"Small and medium-sized companies make up the majority of the American economy
and workforce," said SHRM President and CEO Laurence O'Neil. "These 50 winning
organizations demonstrate that investing in people is critical to their
success, and we are proud to recognize their accomplishments."

"These companies stand out because their employees find them to be places
where they can trust the management, take pride in their work and have fun.
Other companies have much to learn about how to be productive and do right by
their people," said GPTW Co-founder Robert Levering.

Articles and profiles of the winners will appear in the June issue of Fortune
Small Business, in the July issue of HR Magazine, and on CNNMoney.com. The
winning organizations will also be listed on the SHRM (www.shrm.org) and GPTW
(www.greatplacetowork.com) Web sites.
