Aspen Technology Names Mark Sullivan Chief Financial Officer

BURLINGTON, Mass.--(Business Wire)--
Aspen Technology, Inc. (OTC: AZPN.PK), a leading provider of software and
services to the process industries, today announced the appointment of Mark P.
Sullivan to the position of senior vice president and chief financial officer
(CFO), effective July 1, 2009. Sullivan brings over twenty years of financial
management and executive leadership to the company. 

Sullivan spent fourteen years in financial executive leadership roles at
Fidelity Investments, a $12+ billion diversified financial services company. For
seven years, Sullivan served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial
Officer, for Fidelity Employer Services Company, where he led a 200+ finance
team and multi-billion dollar business focused on providing employee benefits
and HR outsourcing services. While at Fidelity, Sullivan also served as
Executive Vice President for the Office of the CFO, in addition to other
financial leadership roles.

Sullivan`s previous experience included serving as Chief Operating Officer,

products for the recreational marine industry. Sullivan also served as
Consulting Manager in the Business Investigatory Services group of Coopers &
Lybrand, a public accounting and professional services firm, in addition to a
number of financial leadership roles with Analog Devices, an integrated circuit
manufacturer.
