Regence Adds New, Diverse Talent to Board of Directors

PORTLAND, Ore., June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Regence recently named several
recognized business and community leaders to its Board of Directors, where
they will help guide the company's strategic direction as it strives to
transform health care.

Mark Adams, M.D. is affiliated with a specialty practice group in Bremerton,
Washington and is the immediate past chief of staff at Harrison Medical Center
in Bremerton. Dr. Adams has actively served his community in several other
leadership roles. He is a past president of the Washington State Medical
Association and has served on the boards of the Foundation for Health Care
Quality, the Washington State Health Insurance Pool and the Washington
Healthcare Forum. He currently serves on the boards of the Olympic Peninsula
Kidney Center and the American Hospital Association. Dr. Adams earned both his
undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Pennsylvania

Michael Koppel is executive vice president and chief financial officer for
Nordstrom, Inc. Before joining Nordstrom, he held leadership positions in the
retail industry at companies such as CML Group, Lids Corporation and May
Department Stores. Koppel serves on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of
King County. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of
Connecticut and has done graduate work at Trinity College.

Kathie Lindemann is senior vice president, store operations for Savers, Inc.
in Bellevue, Washington. Previously, she served as senior vice president for
Starbucks Foodservice. While at Starbucks, Lindemann also held leadership
roles in US Business Operations & Operations Services, International
Operations, Store Development & Global Business Systems. In addition,
Lindemann is on the board of IslandWood, an environmental education center on
Bainbridge Island. She is a graduate of the University of Santa Clara.
