Kety see flat Q2 net profit in a recovery from Q1

WARSAW, June 30 (Reuters) - Poland's top aluminium product maker Kety KETY.WA sees it second-quarter net profit at 21-23 million zloty ($6.5-7.1 million), mostly in line with the year ago figure as demand recovers after two weak quarters, it said.

Kety expects an operating profit of 33-35 million zlotys on sales of around 270 million, a tenth more than in the first quarter.

Kety suffered from a collapse in demand as the Polish and regional economies slowed in recent months, but has said it was seeing signs of recovery in most of its segments.

First-quarter net profit plunged 84 percent to 2.8 million zloty, also weighed down by losses on soured currency bets. (Reporting by Adrian Krajewski; Editing by Dan Lalor) ($1 = 03.220 zlotys)
