VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Jul 07 (MARKET WIRE) --
Cantronic Systems Inc. ("Cantronic" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: CTS)
announced today that it has received a USD$2.6 million purchase order
from SELEX Sensors and Airborne Systems Ltd., a division of SELEX Galileo
for Cantronic's proprietary QWIP infrared detectors as part of the SWISS
(Seawolf in Service Support) contract awarded to the missile systems
company MBDA through SELEX's customer BAE Systems in the United Kingdom.
The order is a follow up of the previous USD$3.75 million order to
QWIPTech for the SWMLU (Seawolf Mid Life Update) program, and is expected
to be completed and shipped to SELEX Galileo over a period of
approximately eighteen months. Cantronic is to be paid over the eighteen
month period based on achieving milestones and deliveries.

Seawolf is a naval guided missiles system designed and built by BAC,
later to become British Aerospace (BAe) Dynamics, and subsequently MBDA.
It is an automated point-defense weapon system designed as a final line
of defense against both sea-skimming and high angle anti-ship missiles
and aircraft. It has been installed onboard the Royal Navy's Type 22 and
Type 23 Frigates and had been used in combat during the Falklands War.

"We are extremely pleased with this order, which allows us to supply key
infrared sensing technology to both the SWMLU and this subsequent SWISS
program, a true testament to Cantronic's QWIP technology and production
quality," noted James Zahn, President and Chief Executive Officer of
Cantronic Systems Inc. "The other operators of the Seawolf systems are
the naval forces of countries such as Brazil, Chile and Malaysia. Our
experience in providing technology upgrades for the Sea Wolf system
update and in service support will allow us to grow this business into
these countries in the years to follow."
