ARLINGTON, VA, Jul 07 (MARKET WIRE) --
Plateau Systems, a leading provider of on-demand talent management
software, services and solutions, announced today that it will host
Talentpalooza 2009, a free online talent management forum, on July 15,
2009. This live, one-day virtual event will provide professionals with
the opportunity to discuss and collaborate with one another about
real-world case studies, best practices and latest trends in talent
management. Participants will learn about the innovative ways talent
management solutions are helping companies adapt to the economically
evolving landscape and how to make well-informed business decisions
regarding the management of their employees.
Inspired by this year's 40th anniversary of Woodstock, where unique talent
came together to deliver a legendary performance, Talentpalooza will bring
together leading experts and practitioners to discuss the role of talent
management in successful organizations. Leighanne Levensaler, Director of
Talent Management Research at Bersin & Associates will headline the event
with her presentation on "The New Workplace: Ten Talent Trends You Can't
Ignore." With a nod to the 40th anniversary theme, Levensaler's
presentation will document the history of talent management in the
workplace over the past 40 years. The event will include three "virtual
stages" showcasing live webinars dedicated to human resources and
employee development. Attendees will be encouraged to attend as many or
as few sessions as they wish throughout the day and be able to share
their thoughts and comments live throughout the event via an online
community forum and other social media outlets.
"Our intention for creating Talentpalooza 2009 is to provide a forum in
which industry experts can be connected with their peers and practitioners
who are looking for innovative and effective ways to engage and develop
their organization's talent," said Jeff Kristick, Senior Vice President of
Marketing at Plateau. "We recognize that these tough economic times have
made it hard to justify trade shows and travel, so we are hosting this
free, highly collaborative, virtual event that we hope will encourage
participants to share their knowledge, ideas and concerns about how to
maximize talent in their organization."
In addition to Levensaler's participation, other Talentpalooza performers
will include individuals from Accenture, the National Aeronautics and
Space Administration, Human Capital Institute, OCLC and Knowledge
Infusion. Session topics include:
-- "Unleashing the Learning Power of your Customer Communities" by
Kathryin Perkins, Director, Partner Services, Webjunction
-- "The World according to SaaS" by Ed Cohen, Chief Technology Officer,
Plateau Systems
-- "Establishing a Talent Driven Culture" by Heidi Spirgi, President and
Suzanne Rumsey, Principal Consultant, Knowledge Infusion
-- "Advancing your Talent Management Strategy" by David Forman, Chief
Learning Officer, Human Capital Institute
