Seven Additional Restaurants and Celebrity Chef Ben Ford Join Susan G. Komen Los Angeles Affiliate`s Dine Out for the Cure

Angelenos Can Make Reservations at Participating Restaurants Across Los Angeles
County for Wednesday, July 15, 2009 to Raise Awareness and Funds for the Fight
Against Breast Cancer
LOS ANGELES--(Business Wire)--
The Los Angeles County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, part of the
world`s largest breast cancer advocacy organization, is proud to announce seven
new restaurants and Celebrity Chef Ben Ford as additional participants for its
first annual Dine Out for the Cure on Wednesday, July 15, 2009. 

"Breast cancer awareness and prevention education is a cause close to my heart,"
said Chef Ben Ford, Proprietor and Executive Chef of Ford`s Filling Station. "I
admire the work the Susan G. Komen Los Angeles County Affiliate has done in
making strides to find a cure for this all-too-common disease, and I am thrilled
to be able to have my restaurant and craft contribute toward this." 

In addition to Ford`s Filling Station, newly announced participating restaurants
include the Roy`s restaurants in Downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena and Woodland
Hills, where Angelenos can enjoy Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine; Rush Street in Culver
City, which in addition to donating proceeds from its lunch and dinner service,
will be holding a reception in its Lounge with a special "Pretty in Pink"
cocktail; La Grande Orange Café, housed in Pasadena`s historic 1934 Del Mar
station; and even a Caribbean participant, the Spice Mill on the island of St.
Kitts, Chef Conny Andersson`s newest restaurant. 

The seventeen participating restaurants have agreed to generously donate 10
percent of their gross profits for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner service to
Susan G. Komen for the Cure Los Angeles County. Several restaurants such as
Cézanne at Le Merigot Hotel will be offering a menu with healthy specials full
of breast-cancer fighting ingredients. In addition, Yelp, the fastest growing
local business review site, will be organizing a community dinner for LA-based
Yelpers.

against breast cancer in our community." 

The recently opened La Grande Orange Santa Monica joined Dine Out as a
supporting restaurant. Qualified supporting restaurants have made a donation to
Susan G. Komen for the Cure`s LA County affiliate of 500 dollars or more. 

The funds raised from the one-day fundraiser will make it possible to carry out
the Los Angeles Affiliate`s goal to provide the medically underserved and
uninsured populations in LA County with screening, diagnostics and treatment for
breast cancer. The Komen LA Affiliate will utilize 75 percent of the Dine Out
for the Cure proceeds for breast cancer patient services within Los Angeles
County. The remaining 25 percent will go to Komen National for research. Susan
