U.S. Census Bureau to Hold Grand Opening for 2010 Census Data Capture Facility in Jeffersonville, Ind. **CENSUS BUREAU MEDIA ADVISORY** WHAT: There will be a grand opening ceremony and open house for the Census Bureau's data capture facility at the National Processing Center in Jeffersonville, Ind., where 2010 Census questionnaires will be scanned and tabulated. This is one of only three facilities in the nation to process 2010 Census questionnaires. Tours for the media will be conducted July 8 at 8:30 a.m. at the main facility, followed by a brief program, and then by a tour of the kit assembly building, where materials used by nearly 500 local census offices and Census 2010 field workers nationwide are consolidated. This event will be the media's only opportunity to get photographs and video of this facility before the 2010 Census is complete.
