Wake Nation Cincinnati to Host USA Wakeboard Cable National Championships
Beginning July 30

CINCINNATI, July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Incredible 1080s ... double-back rolls ...
double S bends ... and big wurms aplenty will be part of the action at Wake
Nation Cincinnati as the new cable wake park hosts the 2009 USA Wakeboard
Cable National Championships beginning Thursday July 30.

Seventy-five athletes -- the best of the best wakeboarders from across the
U.S. -- will be at Wake Nation to compete for a spot on TEAM USA and earn the
right to represent the United States at the 2010 IWSF World Cable
Championships in Neubrandenburg, Germany.

Wake Nation will host the preliminary rounds of the Cable Wakeboarding
National Championships on Thursday July 30, beginning at 8:00 a.m. The final
rounds will continue at Wake Nation on Saturday August 1st, beginning at 2:00
p.m. Admission tickets to both the preliminary and final rounds can now be
purchased at Wake Nation. Tickets are $10 each and include access to both
days' events. Children 5 and under are admitted free.

The cable wakeboarding competition is part of the larger Board, Surf and Cable
Nationals hosted in Cincinnati and Dayton all weekend long. This year's events
combine the 11th Annual USA Wakeboard Nationals with the 4th Annual Grassroots
Wakeboard Nationals, and the new USA Cable Wakeboard Nationals.

All three championships will air on NBC Universal Sports, the preeminent
multiplatform destination for Olympic-related sports programming.

What makes the experience at Wake Nation so unique is that participants can
wakeboard, water ski, and kneeboard WITHOUT A BOAT! Instead, they are pulled
around a 10-acre lake at speeds of 18-20 miles per hour by a circulating cable
system that runs 35 feet above the water.

Wakeboarding is the country's fastest growing water sport, and Wake Nation
Cincinnati is the first and only cable wake park in Ohio -- in fact, there are
only six other cable wakeboarding parks in the entire USA (mostly in Florida
and Texas.) Wake Nation opened to rave reviews May 3.

USA Wakeboard is one of nine sport divisions of USA Water Ski and is the
national governing body of organized wakeboarding in the United States. USA
Water Ski is a member of the International Water Ski Federation (world
governing body), the Pan American Sports Organization and the United States
Olympic Committee.

Wake Nation is open daily all summer long (through October) from 10 a.m. to
dark, seven days a week. For more information, call (513) 887-WAKE or email
