10th Annual APBA Inboard Hydroplane Races At Pontiac Lake State Recreation
Area Set For July 17-19, 2009

PONTIAC, Mich., July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The 10th Annual Quake on the Lake to
benefit the Rainbow Connection returns to shake up summertime fun with a big
boost from sponsor, neighbor and boating enthusiast Tom Szott of Szott M-59
Chrysler Jeep in White Lake Township.

This year's Inboard Hydroplane races will be held on Friday, July 17,
Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19 at the Pontiac Lake State Recreation
Area in White Lake/Waterford Townships. Some of the nation's top drivers in
the sport will make massive waves, tons of noise and lots of fun at Pontiac
Lake on one of the fastest one-mile racecourses in the nation.

To celebrate the Quake's 10th Anniversary, the American Power Boat
Association's (APBA) Inboard Hydroplane Eastern Divisional Championships will
be contested. Race teams from across the United States and Canada will
compete for extra divisional points and championship trophies.

"My family, our store employees and I all love boating," Szott said. "This
event takes family fun and boating to the extreme in a great recreational
setting, and it supports a terrific organization."

All proceeds from the event benefit the Rainbow Connection, a local non-profit
charity which grants wishes to children with terminal or life threatening
illnesses.

The race event has attracted record crowds of more than 200,000 since 2000.
In the last few years, 13 American Power Boat Association (APBA) records have
been established on the challenging one-mile course in five different racing
classes.

Sponsor and neighbor, Szott M-59 Chrysler Jeep, sits in the back yard of the
race site at Pontiac Lake State Recreation Area.

"Oakland County has super summer festivities for the entire family, Quake on
the Lake is the complete package for fun in the sun," added Szott.

Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 5-12. Children four years
and younger are free. Pit passes are $10.
