Mark Webster Appointed General Manager for the Americas at BGC Partners

New Role Underlines Continued Expansion in the Region
NEW YORK--(Business Wire)--
BGC Partners, Inc. (Nasdaq: BGCP), one of the world`s leading inter-dealer
brokers, today announced that Mark Webster, formerly Executive Managing Director
and General Manager for Asia, will move to New York in the newly created role of
Executive Managing Director and General Manager for the Americas.
Mr. Webster will be responsible for building BGC`s business across the region
and expansion into new product areas, both organically and through acquisition.
As previously announced, Leonard Harvey who joined BGC Partners from Tullett
Prebon has assumed the position of Managing Director and General Manager for
Asia. At Tullett Mr. Harvey was Chief Executive Officer, Asia-Pacific.
