Transocean Ltd. Announces Second Quarter 2009 Earnings Release Date and
Conference Call Information

ZUG, Switzerland, July 7, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Transocean Ltd. (NYSE:RIG)
today said it plans to report earnings for the six months ended June 30, 2009,
on the morning of Wednesday, August 5, 2009. Following the earnings report,
expected to be released prior to the commencement of trading in the United
States, the company will conduct a teleconference call at 10:00 a.m. ET on
August 5. Individuals who wish to participate in the teleconference call should
