Permanent Injunction, Default Judgment against Tomar Electronics Remain in Force
ST. PAUL, Minn.--(Business Wire)--
Global Traffic Technologies (GTT) announces the current litigation between GTT
and Tomar Electronics has concluded. The parties have reached an agreement
resolving this matter.

The Court`s permanent injunction remains in force. The Court`s default judgment
against Tomar Electronics regarding the infringement, validity, and
enforceability of certain claims of GTT`s U.S. Patent No. 5,172,113 remains in
force.

On January 22, 2009, a judge in U.S. District Court in Minneapolis issued a
comprehensive permanent injunction in favor of GTT. Tomar Electronics was
enjoined from future manufacture or sale of products found to infringe
particular claims of this U.S. Patent. That injunction ruling came three months
after a jury awarded GTT $6.75 million in damages for past infringement by Tomar
Electronics.

Global Traffic Technologies markets and sells the patented OpticomTM Infrared
System for emergency vehicle preemption and transit signal priority.

The original patent infringement claim against Tomar Electronics was filed on
April 13, 2005. GTT won default judgment of infringement against Tomar
Electronics on December 27, 2007. The monetary damages verdict was awarded on
October 22, 2008.
