MINERSVILLE, Pa.--(Business Wire)-- When Joseph Brady, Superintendent of Schools for the Minersville Area School District found out one of his schools had been severely vandalized over night, he was adamant that school must reopen as soon as possible. Vandals had smashed and destroyed windows, computers, monitors, light fixtures and opened fire extinguishers. When all was said and done, over $200,000 in damages had been sustained. The first thing Mr. Brady did was contact the school district`s insurance agency, The Seltzer Group, located in Schuylkill Haven, PA. Brady not only needed to file a claim, he wanted the school re-opened fast -the next day if possible. With graduation just a few days away, he wanted to show the perpetrators that although they could and did damage school property, they couldn`t deter school spirit. Bob Seltzer, President of The Seltzer Group, and his team were on-site that morning, and a comprehensive plan-of-action was put into place. Bob`s group and its partnership with Berks Fire & Water Restorations began immediate clean-up efforts to help Brady realize his goal of a quick and safe re-opening of the school. Working in unison, The Seltzer Group and Berks Fire & Water assembled a crew of over 30 people, working swiftly and diligently throughout the day. By late afternoon, the school was clean and the damages were repaired to make it safe for the students to return to class. Brady was able to open the school with only a one-day delay. In addition, The Seltzer Group and its Rapid Response Team inventoried items, took pictures and offered support to Superintendent Brady and the school staff. "The Minersville School District is in our community and has been a client of ours for over ten years. In fact, some of our own kids go to that school. We were more than happy to be there quickly, to offer our support and most importantly, to meet Joe`s goal of re-opening the school with little interruption," said Seltzer. He added, "Our Rapid Response Team, which includes partners like Berks Fire & Water, is the reason our commitment to service and support is the cornerstone of The Seltzer Group - we are there when our clients need us from the beginning to the end." Brady adds, "We were more than pleased with the quick response of The Seltzer Group and their commitment to us and our goal of a quick re-opening. And, the really good news - the vandals were caught and ordered to make restitution."
