Polypore International, Inc. Sets Second Quarter 2009 Earnings Release and
Conference Call Dates

CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 7, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Polypore International, Inc.
(NYSE:PPO) will release its second quarter 2009 financial results after U.S.
markets close on Wednesday, August 5, 2009.

Robert Toth, President and CEO, and Lynn Amos, Chief Financial Officer, will
host a conference call to review and discuss those results beginning at 9:00 am
Eastern time on Thursday, August 6, 2009. A replay of the conference call will
