Zelaya accepts Arias as mediator in Honduras crisis
TEGUCIGALPA |
TEGUCIGALPA (Reuters) - Ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya said on Tuesday he accepted the mediation of Costa Rican President Oscar Arias to try to solve his country's political crisis following the June 28 coup that ousted him.
"He (Arias) seems like the right person, accepted by all presidents," Zelaya told Honduran radio, speaking from Washington after meeting U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Zelaya said he would hold talks with the interim Honduran government on Thursday in Costa Rica.
