(Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 1830 GMT (2:30 p.m. EDT) on Sunday.
BAGHDAD - Bombs exploded outside five Christian churches in Baghdad, killing four people and wounding more than 30, Iraqi police said.
BAGHDAD - The body of an official from former Prime Minister Ayad Allawi's Iraqi National Accord party was found near a police station in north Baghdad's Shaab district, bearing signs of torture, the party said in a statement. Talib Abdul Hussein headed their branch in the Shi'ite slum of Sadr City.
JURF AL-SAKHAR - Gunmen shot dead a brother of a government-backed militia leader in Jurf al-Sakhar, about 60 km (40 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.
BAGHDAD - Two roadside bombs targeting an Iraqi police patrol killed one civilian and wounded 20 near Kahramana square in Karrada district, central Baghdad, late on Saturday, police said.
BAGHDAD - A bomb planted on the car of an officer in Iraq's cabinet killed him and wounded his wife and 12 bystanders in Saidiya district, southern Baghdad, on Saturday, police said.
KIRKUK - Gunmen shot dead Aziz Rizko, the head of the supreme audit office of Kirkuk, in a southern part of the city 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, on Saturday, police said.
