July 16 (Reuters) - Freight company USA Truck Inc (USAK.O) swung to a second-quarter loss as conditions in the freight industry continued to deteriorate.

The company reported second-quarter loss of $1.1 million, or 11 cents per share, compared with a profit of $2.1 million, or 21 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter.

Revenue fell 22 percent to $77.9 million.

Analysts on average expected a loss of 2 cents a share, before items, on revenue of $98.25 million, according to Reuters Estimates.

Shares of the Van Buren, Arkansas-based company closed at $13.44 Wednesday on Nasdaq.
