BINGHAM MCCUTCHEN LLP

The law firm said Christopher Cox, the top U.S. securities markets watchdog when George W. Bush was president, will join as a partner in Southern California. [ID:nN17478172]

FINANCIAL SERVICES AUTHORITY

The regulator named Gareth Adams as a senior advisor. Adams, who will start from August 3, was, until recently, the executive director for regulatory strategy at Fidelity International.

DEUTSCHE BOERSE (DB1Gn.DE)

The company named Gregor Pottmeyer as chief financial officer. Pottmeyer's appointment to the executive board will start from October 1.

Pottmeyer had previously been member of the executive board of Mercedes Benz Bank AG.

KBC PEEL HUNT

The UK equity arm of KBC Group named media analysts Richard Menzies-Gow and Malcolm Morgan to its research team. Menzies-Gow starts on July 20, while Morgan joined the company in February.

Menzies-Gow has spent 12 years at Dresdner Bank in the equity research division, focussing on UK and pan-European small/mid and large-cap companies. Morgan joined KBC from Investec, where he spent five years running the media research team.

AXA GROUP AXA.N (AXAF.PA)

The French insurer named Jean-Laurent Granier as chief executive of the Mediterranean-Latin America Region. He will succeed Jean-Raymond Abat, who is retiring from the AXA Group.

Granier has worked in various positions at AXA France, where he was appointed head of Life Insurance in 2000 and CEO of AXA Particuliers/Professionnels in 2002. (Compiled by Manasi Phadke in Bangalore and Christian Plumb in New York)
