WASHINGTON, July 21 (Reuters) - A key U.S. congressional committee has postponed to next week a drafting session for legislation meant to give shareholders a louder voice in setting corporate executive pay, an aide said on Tuesday.

The House of Representatives Financial Services Committee had planned to draft and likely vote on the bill on Thursday. That session has been moved to next week "at the request of the Republicans," said Steve Adamske, spokesman for the committee. (Reporting by Kevin Drawbaugh)
