LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Shaq is back on ABC.

The network again is launching a reality series featuring basketball star Shaquille O'Neal. In "Shaq Vs.," the Cleveland Cavaliers' center will compete against top-name athletes at their own sports.

The network has lined up an impressive array of names for O'Neal to battle. He'll swim against Michael Phelps, play football with Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, play tennis against Serena Williams, compete against Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor in beach volleyball and box Oscar de la Hoya.

"These athletes may be on top of their game, but I am up for the challenge," O'Neal said. "I plan to train hard and win, so look out."

The one-hour series will premiere August 18.

Two years ago, ABC launched a weight-loss series with O'Neal called "Shaq's Big Challenge."
