Hyundai to invest $3.3 bln in eco projects by 2013

SEOUL, July 22 (Reuters) - Hyundai Motor Group (005380.KS), the world's No. 5 automaker, said on Wednesday it plans to invest 4.1 trillion won ($3.3 billion) in developing eco-friendly cars and reducing carbon dioxide by 2013. The plan came after Samsung Electronics Co Ltd (005930.KS) announced a 5.4 trillion won investment plan in green research and development and facilities.
