SHANGHAI, July 22 (Reuters) - Nissan Motor (7201.T) said on Wednesday its vehicle sales in China rose 19 percent to 332,181 units in the first half from a year earlier.

In June, the Japanese auto maker sold 63,292 vehicles in the country, up 28 percent from a year ago, it said in a statement.

From January to June, Nissan's car venture with Dongfeng Motor Group Co (0489.HK) sold 225,073 units, up 41.3 percent, with sales in June up 42 percent to 44,753 units, it said.

Most other foreign automakers had reported robust sales in the first half in China thanks in part to Beijing's policy initiatives to bolster automobile demand. (Reporting by Fang Yan and Jacqueline Wong)
