Nikkei edges up after 6-day rise, NTT DoCoMo slips

TOKYO, July 23 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei share average edged up 0.2 percent early on Thursday as investors took their cue from a rise in U.S. tech stocks and European shares, with high-tech stocks such as Kyocera Corp (6971.T) gaining. NTT DoCoMo Inc (9437.T), Japan's biggest mobile phone operator, dipped 0.2 percent after the Nikkei business daily said operating profit likely fell 16 percent in April-June. [ID:nBNG501645]
